Grow Leavenworth County awards $38,000 to Platinum Automotive

The Grow Leavenworth County Corporation presented a $38,000 no-interest loan to Platinum Automotive on Feb. 9. It is the first loan presented to a business in the City of Lansing and the first since the organization’s expansion into Leavenworth County. The organization had previously given loans to several businesses in the City of Leavenworth since its inception in 2010.

Grow Leavenworth County is a nonprofit organization in partnership with the NetWork Kansas’ E-Community program. It provides no-interest loans to small business owners in the community funded through the sale of tax credits.

Platinum Automotive, 105 B West Gilman Road in Lansing, Kan., is an auto service business which works on all vehicle makes and models including European cars. They repair and replace brakes, tires, steering, suspension and diagnostic work.

NetWork Kansas works with communities through its E-Community Partnership to create local, sustainable funding programs as well as creating a virtual network of expertise and educational resources for entrepreneurs at the local level.
