City offices closed Sept. 6, trash pick-up delayed one day In observance of Labor Day, City of Leavenworth offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 6 and all trash service will be delayed one day. Those who have Monday collection should place their trash out for pick up on Tuesday; those with Tuesday collection should place trash out Wednesday and so forth.   For more information about solid waste collection services, including information on recycling and hazardous waste disposal, visit http://www.lvks.org/department/division.asp?fDD=11-100.    Leavenworth Parks and Recreation to host its Annual Pooch Pool Party on Sept. 7 The City Parks and Recreation Department will host its annual Pooch Pool Party at the Wollman Aquatic Center (13th and Shawnee) on Sept. 7 from 5-7 p.m. All sizes and shapes of dogs are welcome.
