Summer Swim Team-The Riptides
Register now. Season starts with practice on 5/27.
During the summer season, the Riptides compete in the East Kansas Swim League which is made up of 9 other teams. The team competes with Bonner Springs, Gardner, Olathe, Piper, Tonganoxie, Eudora, Lansing, DeSoto and the Lakes Team (Lake of the Forest and Lake Quivira). All swimmers, ages 5-18 years, compete in their own age group against swimmers of equal ability. The coaching staff places emphasis on skill development, improving stroke mechanics, and fun!
Parent (or other team member family) participation at swim meets is expected.

Pre-requisite: Swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool unassisted.
Fees: $50/swimmer; discount for 3 or more children in the same household for the same sport.
Registration: Opens March 1. Available online (convencience fees apply) or in person at the Riverfront Community Center.

- 18U
Season: Starts Memorial Day
Practices:
- Mondays - Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
- Location - Wollman Aquatic Center

*Eligible for scholarship use. Late registration fee is not covered by the scholarship program. Scholarship registrations must be done in person at the Riverfront Community Center.
Waiver:
Payment to attend this activity/class means you agree to the following: "I hereby give my authorization for participation in the activities of the above-named recreation activity or class. I assume all risks incidental to the conduct of the activities or class and release, absolve, indemnify, and hold harmless the City of Leavenworth Parks & Recreation Department, the sponsors and supervisors. Further, in case of injury, I hereby waive all claims against the City of Leavenworth, its sponsors, or any supervisors appointed to them.
Photographs and videos taken by the City during the activity will be used for marketing purposes by the Parks & Recreation Department and will become the property of the City of Leavenworth.
