Smoke Detector Program

Smoke Alarms save lives- call the Leavenworth Fire Department to find out how to get one 913-682-3346.

The Leavenworth Fire Department believes in the need for smoke alarms so strongly that they provide them to homeowners for free.

The City's Fire Department received multiple grants for this program. As part of the program, firefighters will come out and install the smoke detectors. 

Residents can make an appointment by calling 913-682-3346.

Law requires that landlords provide smoke detectors to renters, so they are not included in this program. Please contact your landlord to request a smoke alarm. (If you continue to have issues, please contact the fire department)
