Commercial Dumpster/Pod

City of Leavenworth DOES NOT require a Business license or Contractors license for General Contractors

City of Leavenworth requires a permit for all temporary dumpster or storage pods both on private property and the city right-of-way.

Dumpster/Pods on private property can be placed for up to 90-days of drop off date. Site plan location and permit application must be submitted an obtained prior to dumpster/pod drop off. 

Dumpster/Pods in the city right-of-way can only be in the street or right-of-way for 14 days from the drop off date. Site plan location and permit application must be submitted an obtained prior to dumpster/pod drop off. If additional time is needed dumpster/pod must be removed for 7 full days and a new submittal of dumpster must be approved. 

Additional requirements to be in the city right-of-way:

MUST be at minimum of 25ft from any corner

MUST have and maintain cones/reflectors around dumpster/pod at all times.

NO dumpster/pod can be placed to block traffic, this includes alleys & sidewalks

Any damage caused to the sidewalk or curb will be required to be fixed by property owner and/or dumpster company.
